First Year Representative

As First Year Representative on the ASUO Senate, I served as the sole advocate for the incoming class at the University of Oregon, holding critical voting power on all fiscal decisions affecting student organizations and programs. I represented first-year perspectives on the Tuition Fees and Advisory Board, ensuring that newcomers' voices were considered in university financial planning. I actively bridged the gap between administration and first-year students by designing engagement materials and hosting regular meet-ups to gather concerns directly from my constituents. To amplify student voices, I developed and distributed university-wide surveys that collected valuable data on student priorities and needs, which I then presented to the faculty and administration to drive meaningful change. This position allowed me to establish a strong foundation in student governance while directly improving the first-year experience at U of O.
